Get your clients' bank statements in your accounting package

The Console offers a straightforward integration for many of our supported third-party applications. You may already have created an online connection to get your clients' invoices in your accounting package, here we'll show you how to get your clients' bank statements.

Here are the steps:

  • Go to the Accounting Package Configuration menu.

  • Select the configuration you created, then click on Modify.

  • You are redirected to the Online Connection page. Select Bank statements export for accounting.

  • In the list of integrations, select the service to which you want to connect.


Click on the name of your solution below to display specific instructions:

Dropbox

  • In the list, choose Dropbox then click on Next.

  • To link your Dropbox, you must first sign in to your account. Click on Sign in with Dropbox.

    • After logging in, you may see the following screen first, click on Continue.

    • After which you will be shown the Dropbox consent screen, click on Allow.

  • After successfully authenticating with Dropbox, finalize the connection by clicking Connect after ticking the checkbox to consent to the Terms of Service. Your connection should then be confirmed.

Octopus

  • In the list, choose Octopus then click on Next.

  • Click on Sign in with Octopus and use your credentials to log in.

  • Upon your first visit to this login page you will see a consent screen after successfully authenticating yourself with your Octopus account credentials. Click on Accept to consent to our application accessing your Octopus account. You will be redirected back to the online connection page.

  • Select the desired Octopus Dossier from the now-populated dropdown list element.

  • Finalize the connection by clicking Connect after ticking the checkbox to consent to the Terms of Service. Your connection should then be confirmed.

SFTP

  • Choose SFTP.

  • Enter the details of your receiving SFTP server:

    • Username: the username of your SSH account.

    • Password: the password of your SSH account.

    • Host: the hostname or IP address of the SFTP server.

    • Port: the port to which the server listens for SFTP connections. The default value is 22 but another port can be used if your SFTP server has a custom setup.

  • Read and agree to the terms of service to continue, then click on Connect.

  • The app should now be active.

Now that you've created the configuration template, it's time to assign it to a client:

  • Go to the Clients menu.

  • Click on a client.

  • Scroll down to Accounting package connection.

    1. Toggle Share documents with accountant (if not done yet).

    2. Select the configuration previously created.

    3. Click on Activate online connection for export invoices to activate the connection and to start receiving this client's invoices.

    4. Click on Activate online connection for statements to activate the connection and to start receiving this client's statements.
